Skin hydration for the summer

A quick and easy way to give the skin a hit of hydration is via a face mask. They are absolutely drenched in vitamins and nutrients, tailored to skin types as well as skin needs.

For a little bit of luxury try the Caviar Face Mask Sheet. These are known for improving the elasticity of the skin, containing amino acids (they encourage the production of more collagen and elastin). It also features the anti-oxidant Witch Hazel which fights spot causing bacteria and gets rid of any redness.

To combat tired eyes the Collagen Hydrogel Under Eye Patches should be a part of your weekly routine. These smaller, under the eye marks contain ingredients such as Collagen, Green Tea, Aloe Vera and Vitamin A and E to bring down the puffiness and redness that is commonly found in the area. The hydration helps to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and darkness that is brought on when tiredness sets in.

The secret to looking younger is taking good care of your neck and décolletage area (neck, shoulder, upper back and collarbone) where wrinkles can be found and are often deeper. The Neck + Decolletage Repair Mask is full of Collagen, CoQ10 and Vitamin E to offer maximum firmness and to smooth out the texture of the skin. A top tip is to leave the mask on and rubbing any spare serum into the collarbone area, rub in a circular motion up to the neck as it increases the drainage of the lymphatic pathways. As a result, it helps to increase oxygen-rich blood flow which will help repair any damaged skin cells.

Korean skincare favourite, Kocostar also have their own range of quirky face masks: cucumber, watermelon and pineapple to be precise. For hydration, your go-to masks will be the cucumber and watermelon variations as they deliver high levels of Vitamin C. They smell great, just like the real thing (but luckily there is no stickiness). Also, they are in disc formation so you can focus on your problem areas specifically, whether it is the face, neck, arms or legs.

And don’t forget about your feet! The Foot Peel Foot Mask is a best-seller. It’s great in getting rid of all that hard skin that builds up, replacing it with new, soft skin. It contains Alpha Hydroxy Acid which impressively removes the dead skin within a week. It also features 15 plant extracts including Ginkgo Biloba, Green Tea and Vitamin E which all have anti-aging and anti-inflammatory properties (important if you have been on your feet all day). Try one of these deeply exfoliating masks and it will leave your skin feeling ultra-soft and like brand new!
