Back in time: 70s
A time when infamous nightclub, Studio 54 and all things disco ruled, think glitter and high-pigmentation for this decade. Natural, bushy eyebrows were popular and they formed the frame of the face – very similar to the likes of Cara Delevingne of today.
Both bronzer and blusher were used, with the sun-kissed bronzer shade being utilized to highlight the length of the cheekbones and define the jawline; a rose-pink blusher for the round apples of the cheeks provided a youthful femininity.
Highlighters and pearlized powders that reflected the light were applied all over the face providing an all-over bright, glistening glow. This theme was carried through to the popular shimmer eyeshadows of the decade, well-loved shades included blue, green and purple, all of which were highly pigmented for the ultimate party disco look.
Of course, this was finished with clear or pink lip glosses to continue with the shine.
