Back in Time: 60's

Big eyes were undoubtedly the biggest and best trend of the 1960’s, made famous by the likes of iconic English model, Twiggy.

To recreate this look, eyeliner, most commonly black and of the kohl variety, is applied to the crease of the eye as well as the top and bottom of the eyelids. The look is complimented by a pastel coloured eyeshadow - lilac and light yellowwere favourite shades of the time. Lashings of mascara is then applied and the aim is to form long lashes, with some being clumped together on the bottom. Team this with a cute pixie haircut for the ultimate 60s appeal.

Bridget Bardot was another fashionable pin-up of the 60s, her look consisted of come-hither smoky eyes combined with an understated, very pretty pout. Try a matte nude or light pink lipstick, or simply use a nourishing tinted lip balm for a more modern take on this timeless look.
